1001 Albums Summary

Not amazing but a couple interesting moments (shout out unexpected organ). Lacks any true wow moments but I can see why PTA collabed with her for Magnolia. In 93 this may have been fresh but due to the sheer amount of late 90s early 2000’s singer/songwriter alt rock bloat that followed this album (and surpassed) I give it a 2.5/5

Classic album but far from my favorite they’ve made. This became the album they could never escape the success of with many later efforts calling back to American Idiot but never reaching its heights. Overall the album is catchy and has an interesting concept that keeps the narrative rolling. 4.5/5

Odd for something to sound so futuristic yet nostalgic at the same time. Drum' N bass mixed with smooth R&B vocals is so sick, it's music for people with awful attention spans. Now, the album being almost 2 hours long does make this a bit of a drag to listen to and does bring down the experience, but I got lost in some of these 10-minute-long songs. This sounds like I'm watching Adult Swim and Toonami as a kid again, and for that I'll give it a 3.5/5. (Also, INNER CITY LIFE was from this album! I've heard this song since I was a kid and never knew who TF made it till hearing this album finally, for that alone I'll bump it to a 4)
