1001 Albums Summary

Overall I found the music quite enjoyable however only "Meeting across the river" stood out for me, still quite a good album.

great chill folk vibe. some songs felt same-y and just merged into the rest of the album however this doesn't mean those songs are bad, I don't think there are any bad songs in the album just not a lot of great ones.

some great moments personal favorite is near the end of Egbe Mi O (Carry Me), where Fela gets the crowd to sing with the instrumental but overall the song are too long without enough unique moments. great talent is shown however.

London's Burning 3/5 - No comment. Career Opportunities 3/5 - No comment. Cheat 3/5 - No comment. Protex Blue 3/5 - No comment. Police & Thieves 3/5 - Repetitive but still works. 48 hours 3/5 - No comment. Garageland 3/5 - A nice closer to the album bot narratively and musically.

Kollaps 2/5 - We kollapsing with this one also too long. I gave up, I just got more annoyed the longer this long album went on (not sure if that was intentional Helga 0/5 - AIN'T NO WAY THEY MADE A SILENT SONG.

I Had A Dream, Joe 3/5 - No comments. Straight To You 3/5 - A welcome slower love song. Brother, My Cup Is Empty 3/5 - Funny lyrics contrast against the rock voice of Nick Cave. Christina the Astonishing 2/5 - Random lyrcis that don't work eith the instruments. When I First Came to Town 3/5 - No comment. John Finn's Wife 3/5 - He CUCKED John Finn and then got scared when got caught cause all he had was Brass Knuckles and a Bolo Knife. Loom of the Land 3/5 - No comments. Jack the Ripper 3/5 - bad mixing.

Lady Soul - Aretha Franklin 3/5 - An album with very powerful Vocals but lacking lyrics and instrumentals. Chain of Fool 4/5 - Classic soul with powerful vocals. Money Won't Change You 3/5 - No Comments. People Get Ready 3/5 - Very strong vocals but don't care for the lyrics at all. Niki Hoeky 3/5 - Like it but not sure what she was talking about. Natural Woman 4/5 - Don't know what a natural woman is but I'm happy for her. Since You've Been Gone 3/5 - Another powerful love song. Good to Me as I Am to You 3/5 - No comment. Come Back Baby 3/5 - No Comment. Groovin' 3/5 - Funky.

The Wildest! - Louis Prima 3/5 - A overall fun and silly jazz songs but too many are boring which losses it some points. I Ain't Got Nobody 4/5 - Very fun jazz with funny lyrics about a lonely gigolo. For My Baby 3/5 - Good, fun energy working together in the vocals and instrumental but boring lyrics. The Lip 3/5 - Very simple but interesting story of a Trumpet players lip grease. Body and Soul 3/5 - chill trumpet focused instrumental with some very strange switch ups in the second half. Oh Maria! 3/5 - No comments. When It's Sleepy Time Down South 3/5 - Fun jazz once again but uninteresting vocals and lyrics. Jum, Jive, and Wail 3/5 - Fun dance jazz. Bouno Sera 3/5 - Nice romantic lyrics. Night Train 2/5 - Boring instrumental song. I'll Be Glad When You're Dead You Rascal You - Very fun story and lyrics that go away too quickly.

A few stand out songs but nothing which appealed to me greatly.
