Listening statistics & highlights
Was very alright background music but rarely inspired much attention. More like a 2.5 than a 3.
I don’t get it, probably never will. There’s good elements of this, though. Opening line of “Jesus died for somebody’s sins, but not mine” raised my expectations a lot. She just keeps chewing on her words so the delivery is annoying. Best songs were Redondo Beach, Kimberly, and Gloria. Calm 5-6/10
Kanye and Dilla threw some amazing beats on this. Common's still very good for me; the beginning and end of this have some amazing songs, but the middle lacks Best songs: Be, The Food, It’s Your World
This was meh. Very much a product of its time, and that does provide some highlights (Good Golly Miss Molly, Proud Mary). Still don’t know what chooglin is. 5/10
Really liked this — started off poorly because I wasn’t open-minded wrt the intro but picked up throughout the project
