1001 Albums Summary

Super, super fun album. I'd obviously listened to the hits probably a million times before, but there was some serious heat in the album cuts. I love Axl's voice and the general 80s vibes. Definitely made me wanna cause some trouble and some ruckus. Slash also straight rips that guitar to shreds. Made me wanna listen to more of their albums.

The history of this album is super interesting, and I enjoyed the sound enough, but it was a pretty passive listen for me. The jazz sections were really long and sort of went in one ear out the other. Still cool to listen to though.

All time classic

Kinda fun. Didn't do much for me though. Nothing grabbed me.

Pretty cool. I was kind of listening while I did other stuff, but some beats definitely stood out to me. I'm not the biggest fan of pure instrumental hip hop beats like this but it was nice background music.

Gotta give this a relisten but I quite liked what I heard. Nice whimsical British rock. Probs more like a 3.5 off first listen but i think I’ll enjoy giving this a couple more spins

Honestly wasn’t super pumped to listen to this one but came away pleasantly surprised. I somewhat recognized a couple of the songs probably cause of my Dad. Some of it sounded a little reminiscent of Radiohead which I liked. Some of it was a bit sugary and poppy for my taste but I like his voice and I like a lot of the melodies he chose. Definitely gonna go back to it.

Pretty cool blend of sounds. I've listened to some Metallica in my life but not enough to be super familiar with a lot of these songs so it was pretty fresh to me honestly. It was overdone to the point of being corny at points but other renditions were really really cool. If anything it made me want to really dig into some more Metallica.

Need to give it a better relisten but sounded fire from what I heard.

Cool blend of acoustic and more almost classical moments. I've listened to this twice now cause I just happened to listen like a couple weeks ago. I liked it more this time around. I feel like if I gave it a true proper listen I'd like it even more.
