Konnichiwa by Skepta

Really liked some of these - Man, Numbers, and Text Me Back. Would not have heard this album but for this project.

Arrival by ABBA

Such great songs on this album! Most of my ABBA music knowledge comes from ABBA Gold, so it was fun to hear some "new" songs from them. Seminal listening!

Music by Madonna

This album was all over the place too. Music was fun to dance to in the day, but I felt like it got a huge lift from whatever DJ version was spinning at the time. Everything else was ok. This didn't feel like controversial, edgy Madonna. The lyrics about not selling out were just cringey.

Skylarking by XTC

This album paved the way for Sarah McLachlan's cover of Dear God, so it gets a star for that. Otherwise, this is a 80's produced album with 60s/70s lyrics and music that I would have enjoyed more as solely instrumental. Together it all felt disjointed.

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain

I liked this. I'm a fan of broody music. I knew of the band owing to a track on The Crow soundtrack, but haven't listened to them solely. I suspect there may be other songs I know that I confused with being Depeche Mode or The Cure. Would listen to it again.
