Somehow the exact vibe I was looking for. The only time I felt bored was during ‘Lost Someone’. This is not due to the song being bad it’s just long and slightly kills the pace of the earlier tracks. Luckily the energy almost immediately returns. I can only imagine what it was like to watch this live at the Apollo theatre in 1962. 4/5

10/10 no skip album Consistent energy from start to finish and when the energy does drop (pretty much Riot Van) it’s very much welcomed I wish when I was 18 I could’ve written these songs Also deffo gets extra points for having Steve Bracknell on the cover

Track one does sound quite generic but did enjoy the bridge section and vocals Guitar on track two instantly grabbed my attention and great musicality (blended perfectly into track 3) Track 3 feels like they are showing off but not in a bad way. Great guitar solo. Track 4 had great synth design and a beautiful vocal melody and lyrics By the end it began to sound a bit samey

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse

Have listened to this album many times but I am always happy to go back. Modernises the jazz/R&B sound of the 60s. Perhaps the best vocals ever. My only complaint is the album is only 34 minutes long. The vocals on tracks such as Rehab, Tears Dry On Their Own and Love Is A Losing Game is genuinely haunting.
