Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Dec 05 2025

I thought some songs were incredible while other songs were ballad-y in a way I didn't prefer. Her voice and the subject matter was captivatig.

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Dec 06 2025

Groovy, sexy, very fun album to listen to

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Dec 07 2025

An absolute classic. I’m reminded of my teenage angst and also singing in the truck with my dad on the way to seminary in the early morning. The lyrics have so much emotion and they actually made rock rap work.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Dec 08 2025

Super weird album. It feels almost manic. Some true bangers like once in a lifetime. I like the song listening wind.

Dec 09 2025

Whiney, sulking mostly bad. I’m reminded of my boyfriend in 9th or 10th grade singing me Wonderwall and me breaking up with him because the sentiment was not shared. All that said, Champagne Supernova is a phenomenal song.

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Dec 12 2025

Heartbreaking, captivating, one of the voices of my teenage years. Elliott Smith was such a tortured soul. I love every song on this album, forwards and backwards, it gives me goosebumps.

Dec 13 2025

Being a millenial, I have this impression of U2 as cheesy. Stopping and intentionally listening to Joshua Tree gave me a lot of appreciation for their music. I really like the song Trip Through Your Wires, it has a different feel from their other music. The album is also pretty solid all the way through, especially starting strong.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Dec 17 2025

Captivating, soulful, beautiful all the way through.

Time (The Revelator) by Gillian Welch
Dec 18 2025

I love the feeling of this whole album. Every song evokes such a specific feeling and is a treat to listen to. I especially like My First Lover, Red Clay Halo, and Everything is Free. Everything is Free was ahead of its time in commenting on where the music industry was heading. Gillian Welch is a national treasure.

Countdown To Ecstasy by Steely Dan
Dec 19 2025

Solid. What's not to love about Steely Dan? This isn't their best album, but it is very likeable with some fun songs. Razor Boy is an odd song, I wonder what it is about.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Dec 20 2025

I find it hard to connect with this album, but it must have been such an incredible experience to be in the room. You can hear the crowd going wild. The musicianship is incredible.
