Raw Like Sushi by Neneh Cherry
Dec 05 2025

Buffalo Stance has to be a top 10 80s song and the reason for an extra star. Manchild is great and the overall motif running through about girl power is fun.

xx by The xx

This is a beautiful album. Great beats and tone, mellow vocals and medium tempo throughout. Hits....crystalized, islands

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

3/1089 no lyrics for the first 9 minutes but that doesn't matter at all. This album is amazing. Shine on you crazy diamond, all 9 parts, has been one of my favorite songs for over 30 years. Chills hit when this album starts. Hits...all of them.

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Dec 10 2025

4/1089 I really only knew of BB and Lucille and the U2 song we was on. Generally, blues are somewhat boring to me but this show and the backing band were tight! He has a great voice as a youngster and the blues licks are nice but I prefer shredders.

Stankonia by OutKast

5/1089 I didn't think I make it through this before listening. I've always loved Ms. Jackson but thought outkast stopped there ..and hey ya. I really enjoyed this album and there were nice surprise beats, fills and samples throughout. I'll listen to it again and I understand why Andrew 3000 isn't overrated.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Dec 12 2025

6/1089 Never heard of TB but I definitely heard echos of John Denver, janice and maybe even Gordon Lightfoot, though I think TB came before them. The music was quite chill and folksy and the guy has a very nice voice, regardless of who he sounds like. Another unfortunate member of the 28 club.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Dec 15 2025

7/1089 This is very standard 60s rock by today's standards. It was fresh in its time but became such a success that many who were inspired and followed made this sound passe. I've heard white rabbit and somebody to love 100s of time, maybe more, growing up, so it's pretty a very familiar sounds. Grace Slick's voice is unique and right for the music. This is a 3* album but I can only give 2* because of the release of We Built This City 20-something years later. Hits....somebody to love, white rabbit

Disintegration by The Cure
Dec 16 2025

Sick album. Fascination and lullaby.....puhlease! Then add love song and pictures and it's over the top.

Armed Forces by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
