1001 Albums Summary

I'd give the album a 5 or 6...good energy, some hilarious lyrics, chill at times and some killer grooves too. Highlights: Shave Your Rump, Egg Man was my favorite...loved the energy and vibe also found the chorus production really cool! High Plain Drifters was chill but gets the head nod going. Loved how heavy Looking Down the Barrel is, awesome guutar line and a great transition into Car Thief. Overall an easy listen, didn't feel much need to skip songs which is always a good sign.

Pixies...very avant-garde, sound like the Pixies. Unfair rating from me for the reason they're up there as an influencial favorite. Just different in their own way, yet they have command and make you listen. Great timing, super creative, awesome production!

The Cure-Pornography...I like The Cure, haven't often listened to an album of theirs-front to back. Great song writer, on this album I felt a lot of focus on a catchy song start, but 35-45 seconds in...every song seems to have the same feel, vibe and tone. Some clever starts and grooves, not a lot of overall substance for my taste/liking. Wanted to skip to next-around half way through most songs.

Masterpiece! Amazing production and recording quality, brilliant musicians...all 3 are best in class at what they do!!! I've loved this album since I was a 10 year old kid roller skating at Wheels! Played my vinyl so much shocked it wasn't worn out!

Yeah, boyeeeeeee! Who doesn't remember/recognize Flava Flav! Brought me back to the days I thought I could Break Dance. Not a bad listen, I didn't skip any songs or feel the need to.
