This album feels like the cliche beach day, grabbing a beer, throwing a Frisbee, splashing the water.
I feel like I like the deeper cuts than I do the popular cuts. Hate & War is a banger
For a 35 minute album its slightly repetitive. Granted it is the 70's. Each song though its short and to the point
Police & Thieves is a banger
Surprised, liked this album a lot more than I thought I would. Great lyrics, catchy Punk chorus's
Thinking 7/10
First listen in the car, really good album.
Has a lot of great vocal melodies, I like a lot of lyrics and themes. Carole King has a great voice
Only tracks that bothered me was You’ve Got a Friend and Where You Lead. Both songs are literally the same thing about Carole just being like “Hey, if you need a friend I am right here”. Which is sweet in sentiment but like makes no sense, like I just started thinking Carole magically appearing when requested.
Otherwise, good album. 7/10 closer to a 6 than a 8
Simon and Garfunkel = Music
Music is Great
Therefore
Simon and Garfunkel are Great
Parklife by Blur was a wonderful first listen. For an album in the 90's it has aged really well due to its forward thinking blending a lot of different genres of pop, rock, and synth.
Listening to this album you can hear the influences of the Beatles on it, but I feel like Blur really brought its on sound on it with how quirky and colorful with lush production.
I even really like the interludes on this album, those were always fun to listen to as I felt like they were straight out of a movie. Like "Debt Collector" for example, just made me feel like a rugged 1980's 37 year old brit who is going door to door collecting money from person to person. Just a really fun album
8/10
Masterpiece, Masterpiece, Masterpiece
11/10
Personal note: I like how I hit on the thing “Yes I want to listen to albums on the weekend” just for them to give me a 6 disc, 3 + hour record to listen to.
Review: The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald is amazing. Honestly, never knew who Ella was but I have heard her. Ella has the most iconic voice for Jazz in her time period.
Ellas voice is really the forefront of the show. Wonderful quirky lyrics always keep a lot of these songs engaged even for 3 hours. Shout out to the Jazz band as well as they too did a wonderful job.
Two issues I ran into:
1. I hate how history has whitewashed Ella. Cartoons, TV shows, etc. really fooled me that this was a white woman singing and not a black woman. Big shame on the industry
2. Back to the actual review: some of the songs in structure for a 3 hour album are repetitive. A lot of the songs end in that classic “ TO MEEEEEE” with the horns blasting and strings stringing. If I had to be critical, there need to be a little more varience. But I wouldn’t say it took away from my experience.
Wonderful 3 hour experience and Ill probably be playing this album every Christmas now
8/10
Honestly, went into this album after the first not expecting to like it.
Still not a fan of that first track but after that, the album is just great. Amazing riffs great lyricism just really fun 80s Dad metal music.
9 out of 10
Honestly pretty good
Iconic for its time, I do feel like there were a lot of bands within its time period that would perfect this sound. Definitely ahead of its time but not the best.
6/10
Really fun late 80s synth pop album. Should have leaned more into the synth, but enjoyed the album through the entire thing.

Live one of the best metal bands with an Orchestra. Pretty sweet.
It’s got a couple songs I liked. But I don’t know. I just didn’t do it for me.
