1001 Albums Summary

I really didn’t know pop music could sound like this! It feels super jazzy and original with unique instrumentation. Profound joy and sadness are held within. I would compare this to Shower, and I bet this was a bit of inspiration for it.

Yet another example of “I didn’t know music could sound like this” AND “THATS where this song is from?”

Pretty good punk album! will probably revisit but didn’t do a lot for me.

I mean this is JAZZ. I want to do a full listen of the complete set on my Grados to get the full spine-tingling experience, but from this somewhat passive listening I could feel the energy coming off the stage into the crowd and back into the performers.

I mean I’m kind of at a loss for what to say. It’s incredible. It’s such a thrilling ride from start to finish, not to mention how it changed the music landscape AND what it has to say about the time period in which it released.

I mean it’s fantastic. not sure what else to say - the foundation of so much modern day music. I also understand so many more funk hunter samples now lol

Honestly it was boring. Repetitive, bad lyrics with an occasional jammin’ groove that was ground to dust under Simmon’s repeated crow retching.
