Parachutes by Coldplay

I think this is a fine album, I wouldn’t say there’s multiple hits or that it is emotional inducing, but yellow is a classic and I’d listen to it on a loop while working, overall a 3/5 album for me

Thriller by Michael Jackson
Dec 15 2025

Really solid album, the first three songs are all great and get the Michael Jackson energy and make you want to move along to it. The middle third is as iconic as Michael Jackson gets with Thriller, Billie Jean, and Beat it. The final three tracks are all really catchy as well, I’d listen to this on a loop and don’t think I’d be disappointed in any of them popping up on a music feed. -High floor + -High ceiling + -Multiple bangers + -Emotion inducing + -Relistenable + Checks all 5 boxes for me. Overall I’d rate this a 5/5.

Ellington at Newport by Duke Ellington
Dec 16 2025

tough to review this one as Jazz is such a different genre. I think it's an enjoyable listen, and it definitely is high floor for what I listened to, but I don’t really think the ceiling is there, didn’t finish the album as I couldn’t keep interest Rating Scale: -High floor + -High ceiling - -Multiple bangers - -Emotion inducing - -Relistenable - Overall rating: 1/5

Would give this a solid 3.5, but I'm rounding up since I think it's better than a 3
