1001 Albums Summary

Major classic first song but haven’t listened to the rest so excited to dive in! 1. Hotel california has one of the best guitar solos with it really building up to something special 2. New kid in town very satisfying and feels familiar, musically interesting and nice lyrics weaving along seamlessly to tell the story 3. Life in the fast late shows a change of vibe and pace fitting to the name. Do already know this one. Reminds me of the race scenes in Grease and Drive in the classic LA landscape. 4. Wasted Time a lovely ballad with a nice addition of strings and some interesting moments with bass and vocals. A little boring but satisfying. 5. Wasted Time Reprise this is exceptional. 6. Victim of love did not grab me at all sadly. 7. Pretty Maids all in a row was pleasant but I lost interest. 8. Try and love again comes full circle with the same themes lyric wise with interesting moments lyrically but misses a great guitar riff imo 9. The last resort a stunning ending, the second half opens up something that felt missing in the mid section of this album, ties everything up perfectly. Overall very enjoyable with great moments however a couple of songs leave more to be desired.

New listen 1. Safe from harm- goes hard 2. One love- goes hard in parts 3. Blue lines- a different vibe and alright 4. Be thankful for what you've got- unbelievably hard, love this one 5. Five man army- groovy vibes 6. Unfinished sympathy- my fave on the album 7. Daydreaming- another unbelievably hard one 8. Lately- groovy baby 9. Hymn of the big wheel- played things out nicely Overall rating 3/3.5 stars

This did not hit for me but I feel it would be great to hear some of these live.

I mean it's Fleetwood Mac so it's good but it's not their best. 1. Over and over- I love this song, no notes 2. The ledge- a fun one 3. Think about me- ye ok 4. Save me a place- boring 5. Sara- hell ye 6. What makes you think you're the one- meh 7. Storms- hell ye x2 8. That's all for everyone- I could take or leave 9. Not that funny- as above 10. Sisters of the moon- hell ye x3 11. Angel- hell ye on vocals but otherwise meh 12. That's enough for me- meh 13. Brown eyes- ok 14. Never make me cry- ok 15. I know I'm not wrong- ok 16. Honey Hi- meh 17. Beautiful child- hell ye ish 18. Walk a thin line- naw 19. Tusk- yaw 20. Never forget- yaw

I thoroughly enjoyed this one, only ever casually listened but will defo be revisiting, not hugely interesting but pleasant.
