Graceland by Paul Simon
Dec 27 2025

Not a massive fan of the folksy style and instrument use, however nicely mixed and can appreciate the musicality. Graceland still an enjoyable song but no other standouts.

Off The Wall by Michael Jackson
Dec 28 2025

Enjoyed the disco/soul flavour to most tracks. Great vocals for most tracks. First few songs of the album are the real highlights (DSTGE, rock with you).

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Dec 30 2025

Enjoyable but blues not my thing. I did like 25 minutes to go, Folsom Prison Blues and Jackson. Live aspect also elevated the album.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Dec 31 2025

Enjoyed Green River and Bad Moon Rising, but no other standouts. Agreeable background listening but not the most interesting.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Jan 01 2026

Really enjoyed this, live aspect again was good and the jazz/afro elements just worked really well. Really interesting mix of songs as well. First and last tracks were my favourites.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Jan 02 2026

Enjoyable 70s rock but no major standouts for me. Preferred it to CCR but besides The Changeling and Riders on The Storm no standout tracks.

Wild Wood by Paul Weller
Jan 04 2026

Title track and shadow of the sun were favourite tracks, enjoyable album overall.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jan 05 2026

Okay psych rock record, nothing standout or particularly memorable

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Jan 06 2026

Enjoyed Dazed and Confused the most. It’s a great rock album but probably not one I’ll come back to.

Goo by Sonic Youth
Jan 07 2026

Not my thing, won’t be coming back to it.

16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens
Jan 08 2026

Enjoyed it, bit bloated as an album but good songs like streets of your town and love goes on

Jan 09 2026

Great beats with socially conscious lyrics, can see how it influenced subsequent releases like TPAB, not as tight as his later album Be

Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye
Jan 10 2026

Really enjoyed this, compact and good variety in the songs.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jan 11 2026

Songs all blended into each other, no real standouts for me. Annoying in places e.g. Weenie Beenie

Coles Corner by Richard Hawley
Jan 12 2026

I enjoyed the title track and The Ocean, similar in places to Mark Knopfler which I enjoyed. Probably a higher end 3.

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Jan 13 2026

Enjoyed the soul sound but repetitive themes in lyrics and in the musical style.

Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal
Jan 14 2026

Like some of the tracks but overall there are some awful parts of this album, and much better grime albums out there
