1001 Albums Summary

Not my favorite. Stay was good, the rest was kind of forgettable. I was not a big fan of the way Bowie's voice sounded... I think I really only like his stuff that has more of a disco influence.

Goated, actually added to library. Don’t remember any details but it made driving through snow bearable.

Loved this! Maybe not something I would shuffle regularly on Spotify but a record I would wear out for sure.

Can recognize that this is well-written and well-produced, just simply not my cup of tea :/ wish I liked it more!

A great album that did wonders for popularizing alt rock. There’s a reason it’s popular and a reason Nirvana’s influence continues to dominate pop culture. Grunge has never really been my cup of tea so there is a skip or two for me, but overall the album stands the test of time and will continue to stand the test of time.

Always had a soft spot for the Beastie Boys. Far more experimental than I was expecting simply because I am a Licensed to Ill truther. Pulled inspiration from a lot of genres and did it well. I saw another review on here that said they wish the album was like 10 minutes shorter… and that kind of hits the nail on the head (in the wise words of RuPaul… edit). But still a highly enjoyable listen. I see why it’s on the 1001 albums list and is a body of work I see myself coming back to again and again. 4.5 stars.

Whoever put this on 1001 albums cash me outside how bout that because this is so horrible. How did the band that created Sex on Fire also create this. Evil.
