Overall a decent album offering lots of new-wave nostalgia. A few good hits, but otherwise the songs sounded a lot a like (especially towards the middle). Standout track: Moving in Stereo
Incredible vocals and production, an IMPECCABLE pop album from the 70s that still holds up its playability in 2026. Even the songs that are not singles or well known bops are still so so good, making the album very consistent.
* Notes: The vocals are very NIN, and the raw, grungey rock aesthetic they were going for is super clear throughout the album. * Overall: I think if I gave it a couple more listens, I’d actually really like this album as a whole for the right mood. It’s a good “spooky season” album and I love the unique production.
* Notes: Really not a fan of Bruce’s vocals in this album, it sounds like he’s mumbling for half of it… some great moments though like in Streets of Fire * Overall: Not really my personal cup of tea. Bruce is obviously influential in his sound, but not something I would return to with the exception of a couple of songs off of it
* Notes: Consisting of only 5 songs and being 44 minutes long is insane. This is PEAK stoner music, but also something you could throw on in the background and just zone out to * Overall: A very chill album; showcases the psychedelic sound Pink Floyd is known for; Peak stoner album
Interesting mix and variety of samples used in this album. Really broadcasts the music genres popular at that time. Beastie Boys are always a fun listen to, this album would probably be better on a 2nd listen
