cool grungy vibes, honestly didn’t get real interesting til the second half of the album, favs: blister in the sun, prove my love (fav on whole album), promise, gives suburb garage rock band

SUPER cool and innovative sound, especially with all the woodwinds, mix of classic rock/folk/alternative/metal almost? LOVE the interludes (wish some of them were longer haha) favs: cross-eyed mary, wind-up (fav on whole album!) really deep concepts on faith and society that are so well represented by the instrumentation and style of the music

heavier rock with a clean, sophisticated tone, really neat! top fav: my wave!!! some really cool meter and instrumental choices. definitely can tell with this album how this band evolved and matured their sound.

cool and funky!! LOVED “yearnin learnin” and obviously “sining star”. definitely such a staple and prime example for tight funk and soul music.

super vibey and 80s, which i’m such a sucker for. got a good kick out of “that voice again”. also “in your eyes” HITS EVERY TIME. really such a more innovative and out-there album than i expected or knew about.

NOW i know where the bittersweet symphony sound bite comes from LOL. kind of a quiet angst record, totally dig. “the rolling people” BANGER, almost thought about some early john mayer songs with that one. really solid!

super bluesy and angsty record, loved all the live components! “flower in the sun” short and sweet one but personal fav. janis has such a unique tone go off.

solid early 2k rock! honestly maybe not the best artic monkeys record but had some highlights.

oooooo this one was good. just adore these three voices together, and love the more stripped back genre this whole album exemplifies. and i mean dolly…might be some of her best vocal work. LOVE!!!

lowkey had to stop listening cause i just wasn’t vibing LOL, but do appreciate its innovation soundwise
