1001 Albums Summary

Groovy guitar riffs and definitely in the pocket. The first song, 'Down to the Waterline,' had an especially tasty groove. I was not too much of a fan of 'Sultans of Swing'. Worth another listen in the future. Like a decent light beer. The final song, 'Lions,' is a great bluesy and punch groove.

Very repetitive and sort of contrived, just felt like there was no real enduring substance to any of these songs.

Good piano parts in the first few songs. First two songs definitely better than the rest, not just a huge fan of his voice.

Rocks hard but the singing/talking is kind of annoying.

Wonderfully diverse, from the haunting and soaring wistful melodies of 'Corpus Christi Carol' to the heavy and unapologetic groove of 'Eternal Life.'

They don't make albums like this anymore... awesome ten minute song, great base lines and grooves throughout, love the synth effects on everything.

Love the middle finger in your face attitude of this one. Great energy, cool motifs, some of it is just a little too weird but so groovy, will have to listen to more of them.
