Feeling like I'm in the woods, from a fairy, to a bandit, from picking up flowers to dancing in the rain. Then boom walking through the city.
Creative instrumentally and vocally speaking. I felt some sort of freedom from that point of view.
Noticed some similarities with Bob Dylan, example in "A Simple Desultory Phillipic".
Last song, super interesting, silent night while the news play (Vietnam war...)
5 discos, 5 freaking good times. Immediately YES, first minute, first second, hell yeah Ella.
Different vibes, emotions and atmospheres. No need to talk about her voice, enchanting and incredibly enveloping, warm, accurate and precise.
To play at a fancy Christmas party.
I had to listen to it at different times and days, cause all at once would have confused me. Maybe I'm not used to so much jazz so I can't listen to it for too long. After a while it becomes too much and drives me insane.
Miles the man you are. Again, I'm not super keen when it comes to jazz and blues, but I do enjoy it, especially if it's miles. It's simple (in the best way possible) and pure yet so different and surprises you randomly during each piece, with a note you wouldn't expect but fits perfectly, or a rhythm variation.
I think it's best for me to listen to these separately, letting some time pass by, so I can enjoy it and savour it better without letting the all album feel repetitive.
Makes me feel like I'm in an old black and white film or a noir crime scene or something.
Immediately hell yeah. First few seconds and I love it. I kinda knew I was gonna like it as I already know some of their songs.
Lots of jamming and improvisation that feels so smooth.
A mix of blues and southern rock, long guitar solos, love when the harmonica comes out.
Maybe music always gives me this feeling, but I imagine it well for some film scenes: crazy on the road trips and adventures or just simple and ordinary life.
Red hot chili peppers are usually not my cup of tea but I do enjoy them. Sometimes it feels quite repetitive even when albums change.
I'm a bass lover so of course I enjoyed the bass.
I liked how it's about excesses in life but also the loneliness and unhappiness that might come with it, as some songs feel more "outrageous" and funky and other much more reflective and communicate some sort of pain. Anyway, some absolute bangers in this album that bring me back to childhood.
Energetic, groovy, hypnotic. Messy yet sophisticated, as the instruments are so well arranged together forming a fusion between genres.
a GOOD album. It isn't particularly groundbreaking or catchy or anything else, but it's good, structured, CLEAN. This doesn't mean that it isn't creative and articulated, it's there, gentle and reflective (love you Paul)
A punch in the face to listen to, in the best way.
Elegant, psychedelic, super interesting. Feels very very ahead of its time. It gives me the impression of being a pioneering album (and band).
She's great, I can't explain. I love how you can feel and hear the artists the genres, and the culture that influenced her, yet it's so original and one of a kind. The instrument are perfect and her voice inside. Addictive, unrepeatable. I cannot put into words how important she is and her music with her. Timeless, so well produced, so well written. It combines new and old, vintage and modern in everything. It's so detailed and you can just feel the attention, the passion, the talent. Ok, I'll stop, I just love it.
Ramones: Ramones shaped me. I started listening to them at 6 and they opened a whole new world. I then started exploring music with my sister, found out punk and so much more. So I keep them very close to my heart.
It's so freaking cachyyyyy.
Listen... it's punk a bit pop and I love it.
It takes its time. Made me a bit sad, a bit reflective. Mix of folk and electric that I liked. I think I need more than a listen to wrap my head around it. Cause even tho it feels simple sometimes there's a lot going on (in a good way). But it's actually not simple, it's authentic, and raw.
I generally love when albums (or songs) feel raw.
