1001 Albums Summary

Kind of a surprise to hear so much more Music Hall (granny music) than I remembered. Fun listen overall, a few great tracks and a stage musical waiting to be put together.

The non singles from this album (not on greatest hits v1) are all new to me. Glenn Frey makes this a tough listen and confirmed I’d rather hear a Jackson Browne version of the Eagles singing those songs. The rest of the album sounded like a band holding tryouts for writing and lead vocals. Solid but not special.

Prefer Can’t Buy a Thrill to listen to but this one has great tracks, with there were just a couple more.

Late 90’s sound but holds up

Up there with Ram, peak McCartney/Wings. Listened to the version with Helen Wheels included as a bonus track.

Understanding that this is an exceptional album but I just have never been able to connect with it

Very enjoyable 70’s country alt rock with Emmylou Harris in support stealing the show.
