I just feel like it’s missing something…idk
“I’ll put the cobwebs back in place”
Okay it gets better as it goes on
Undeniably solid album which has quite a few songs I’ve liked on it. Revolution in the hands of yacht-rockers which I personally love
Not my fav, didn’t finish, a lot of the same things
It is probably not wise to judge a band against itself, but this album is limited in my mind as it competes against Jar of Flies which I am more partial to. Still solid, however, and I like the memento mori theme!
I don’t know Cyndi, I think you say a lot of really good things in here and have a powerful message, but the 80s electro-pop kind of unnerves me. Maybe that’s the point, like how plasticky consumerism still carries a deep message, but I probably wouldn’t put it on repeat.
I hadn’t heard a lot of these songs since my childhood, sitting in the backseat of my mom’s minivan with my dad on air drums, and I’d forgotten about their existence entirely until now. Aerosmith has a LOT of good songs on this album, and now that I have remembered them my respect for Aerosmith is greatly increased.
I like other Kanye better. I like other music better. I think the middle school locker room aura has tainted the listening experience a bit for me.
OH MY GOODNESS there are so many good songs on here that are near and dear to my heart
Okay why is almost every song on here better than seven nation army. I don’t know if there is a great uniting theme to the album, but it’s really very good
The Beach Boys always had something good to say. But not the best for their style, and not best of the time.
Biased from the start, but this is one the great albums. Every song is not only widely popular, but personally resonant and fits in with Led Zeppelin’s overall tone. Beautiful, haunting, and catchy.
Okay whatever this is Judas Priest doing their nerd rock
Don is very good at the poetic, and the piano, and the moving, and, of course, at making a song over 5 minutes that anyone is compelled to sing along with all the way through. While I like his less jaunty songs, I have more fun when Don seems to be having fun, and there is a shortage of those songs on this album.
