1001 Albums Summary

Lots of good memories attached to songs on this record. Remember first hearing it with friends, remember it soundtracking new relationships, and remember it being part of a fantastic Friday night at Glasto. Never actuially listened to the LP though. Time has not been kind to this record. This is one bland album. Like really bland. They front loaded the thing with all the singles. They haven't aged well but then the second half is so dull and forgettable. I find their sound quite abrasive and not at all melodic, and the lyrics very uninteresting. It gets a 2 because "All These Things That I've Done" is a great song admittedly. I cannot believe it doesn't close the album though. WTF.
