Pretty solid. Reminds me of a more reggae Lauren Hill.

Between him, Sam Cooke and all the other talented soul musicians of the 50s/60s, this is my favorite era of music. Hearing cry to me for the first time as a teenager in a movie soundtrack changed my brain chemistry. Shout out to the king of rock ‘n’ soul for making a little bit of magic.

Love an afro-beat album. Beats so good he got 27 women to marry him. Not my favorite of his but it still hits.

Not as bad as I remember it but still not a huge fan of smashing pumpkins.

Long instrumentals at certain points that I could have done without but still a very good album and would have been fun to see live.

Despite being a Washingtonian, I hated Nirvana growing up but over the years they grew on me. It helps that I’ve seen some rad live covers from unexpected artists. Talented young men (not u dave ghoul, fuck u) and I always wonder what Kurt would be up to right now if he was still alive.
