Oh my god, this is the album with You Know I'm No Good. I can't believe I have never done a deep dive of this album. My goodness I knew i liked Amy's voice but DAMN GIRL holy shit. TITLE TRACKKKKK<3 oh wow the brass on these tracks. Oh had I thought to listen to this album in my teens, I would be insufferable.
first beatles album lets go. did they start the trend of panning or isolating audios to one ear or another? oh my god this is the blackbird album!! oh wait i also know the song I Will, i wonder from where. Also this birthday song slaps lowkey.
Look man, im not saying beatles doesnt have bangers, they obviously do. But to rate this album a 5/5 solely because its a classic doesnt feel right. I like less than 50% of rhe album, and thats being generous. So realistically this is between 2.5 to 2.75. But i guess i'll punch up
okayyy another 60s rock album, I've never heard of The Zombies before. My take so far is that overall it is better than the previous beatles album i listened to, and that maybe because seems more cohesive? I think that an album can be diverse and want to mix genres but personally the beatles was too all over the place for my liking. BACK TO THIS ALBUM, i liked Care of Cell 44 and Time of the Season on first listen, which seems to be the top songs for this album. I listened to this album twice, and I think i saw the appeal of A Rose for Emily and Friends of Mine. in terms of album, more cohesive but still not passing mid range.
ooo bob marley. OOO funky beatsssss. anjay ska yo mannnnn. interestingg, very chill!
Ooo live music! I stand by the argument that a recording of a live set can make a great album. This was a string of good vibes put into a 36 minute set. i liked Feel It (Don't Fight It) and Bring It on Home to Me. I forsee myself listening to this as a working album
okay first of all before I start, I missed out on commenting about yesterday's album, and i just want to say that outside of Amy's album on day 1, The Mars Volta's album popped off. thats my kind of rock. okay lets continue to this one
lowkey, this album is a classic ya? OH MY GOD ITS THAT SONG IAN SANG WKWKWK
okay some final thoughts, pretty good not mad about it. of course i saved the title track. tapi I'm not mad at the album. 3 (in a good way!)
SMOOTH OPERATORRRRRRR. what a chill album, really really good
I should start taking shots when I get an album and its a rock album (+1 more if its English). on first listen, I really liked Movin' On. overall not a bad album at all but to get a 4 or a 5 will require albums to tug on my heart a bit. so 3 but not bad at all
this is when I fell off and forgot to check albums daily. to be fair, I was sorta locked in and focused on researching my for my concept papers etc.
okay back to this album now. i really life the art work. songs are funky, as the title suggests. starting to notice that songs in the 70s had a lot that were quite long, between 7-12 minutes. ooooo Groovallegiance is such a vibe. overall the album is a 4 because the amount of stank face i did
finally listening to Missy Elliot properly, lfg. I was doing my hair listening to this album, and istg the bouncing of the knees and stank face never stopped wow
oooo 2009. Heads Will Roll immediate banger on first listen. love the guitars on this album
