Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Feb 06 2026
Feb 10 2026

Very enjoyable instrumentation and song progression despite having some heavy lyrical content and focus.

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Feb 11 2026

With a strong and striking opener, this album manages to fit a lot of musical variety into its tracks. The elements of playfulness and seriousness are well balanced to make the variety interesting without being distracting.

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Feb 12 2026

While no doubt zany and surreal, this album still manages to entrance the listener. I felt at times like I was dropped into a smoky dive or a film noir not as the main character or even as the narrator but as an extra or perhaps someone who glanced at the script while cleaning the writer's office.

Feb 13 2026

Forward with its messaging and spirit, this album allows the musicians the space to explore and develop their message, using inspirations from other genres and sounds familiar but ever relevant.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Feb 16 2026

Nina Simone is an entrancing vocalist whose mellifluousness belies an emotional depth and lyrical complexity that is easy to overlook or to mistake for simple performance.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Feb 17 2026

Enjoyable and well paced, I found this album overall to be a good balance of vocal performance and song craft.

The United States Of America by The United States Of America
Feb 20 2026

Certainly understandable as a groundbreaking album for its time with the integration of synthesizer and orchestral elements into a psychedelic journey. Still, I found the overall feeling of the album to be more unsettling than mind-expanding which at times put me off.
