Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Feb 04 2026

It’s just not for me. I know GnR are massive and they have their lovers, and the album at the time was era defining … but personally I would say, it’s a lot of filler, chuff, and above all, copy and paste. It’s an undeservingly generous 3 out of 5 for me, based only on the hits, 1 single point for Welcome to the Jungle, another for Paradise City, and the final point for Sweet Child of mine … Naturally. Bang average.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Feb 05 2026

Absolutely bloody fantastic. Now THIS is a bit of me. Front to back, a short album on the face of it, but what it lacks in longevity, it makes up for with it’s banger after banger quality. A solid LP. I love this and it will be staying in my library for future enjoyment. Yes please !

Cloud Nine by The Temptations
Feb 06 2026

It’s not a front to back classic in my opinion but it’s a very good album. Not one that I would necessarily return to time and time again but there are quite obviously moments of genius on there. A great little Sunday morning cleaning my house kind of listen. I like it. A solid LP.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Feb 07 2026

I am certain that at the time this was released, it would have appealed to most people in the era it was thrust upon us, for me now, it feels dated and it unfortunately hasn’t aged well. I struggled with this and could only pick out 1 or 2 stand out pieces. More miss than hit.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
Feb 08 2026

Absolute perfection. Not a bad song on this LP. Wonderful wonderful wonderful. I could listen to this every single day of my life and never tire of the feelings this album invokes. Bravo !

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Feb 09 2026

Wow. What a time to be alive. 1991. The tribe. An unapologetic trip back to the early 90’s life for the millennials amongst us … and it’s goooooooood. What an album. Front to back, all killer, no filler. Definitely keeping this one in my iTunes library for re-visitation. Hip hip hiiiiiiip hippety hip hop at its finest !

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Feb 10 2026

Absolutely bloody beautiful. I’ve listened to this 4 times in 24 hours and I love it. Soooo soothing. The lyrics are very nice too. Relaxing and soothing to say the least. Lovely shower music.

Bright Flight by Silver Jews
Feb 11 2026

Woefully boring. Terrible voice. Flat as a fart. Boring … awful lyrics that are quite simply meaningless … oh, and did I mention it was boring as sin !? Jesus Christ, save yourself 35 minutes and never ever listen to this album !

Tigermilk by Belle & Sebastian
Feb 12 2026

I really didn’t know what to expect going into this, but I was pleasantly surprised. A nice little album from front to back … inoffensive, well written, catchy in places. Yeah, nice little album. Not one that I feel would ever change my life, but it’s certainly been a nice little burst of positivity on a rainy February morning.

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Feb 13 2026

I’ll be honest. I didn’t listen to this … at all. 2 hours and 10 minutes long, and it took me 20 seconds to know I was giving it 1 star and moving on. This really is NOT for me ! I can’t even be objectively constructive about it, I can not put myself through it. Nope !

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Feb 14 2026

Perfection. As simple as that. Beautiful record. I love it from start to finish with zero skips and no filler whatsoever. Stunning !

Talk Talk Talk by The Psychedelic Furs
Feb 15 2026

This is really not my style of listening at all. I really tried with this one and struggled at any moment in the album to find enjoyment. It’s a miss …

Imagine by John Lennon
Feb 16 2026

Soooooo good. Loved this album. Very Beatles-esque in places, naturally. But on the whole a very individual style with some moments of absolute genius. Perfect album. Front to back, gold.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Feb 17 2026

This was a hard listen. If you like jazz, I think you’ll get away with this. Just. It’s nothing spectacular and I would question that it’s in the top 1000 albums when I think of the albums in the same kind of vein as this. But still not overly bad. I would say, persevere with it and it might just surprise you.

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Feb 18 2026

Absolutely bloody brilliant … Some of the lyrics and themes of the album would perhaps get them cancelled in oasis culture, but I loved this. Great LP. Solid.

D by White Denim
Feb 19 2026

Honestly. I went into this probably with the wrong mindset, like, maybe I wanted to hate it. But I didn’t. It wasn’t bad really. Not really my style if I am honest. Psychedelic indie music. That’s probably how I would describe this … but it was cool. Not a bad album really. Middle of the road. Not sure why it’s in the top 1000 though if I am honest. Doesn’t overly stand out for any reason.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Feb 20 2026

Unexpectedly perfect. Such a good album. Play it again Joan !

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
Feb 21 2026

Absolutely solid gold. From front to back. Glorious. Could listen to it over and over.

E.V.O.L. by Sonic Youth
Feb 22 2026

I really did NOT enjoy this. No hate on the band, it’s just not for me, I just didn’t enjoy it.

The Healer by John Lee Hooker
Feb 23 2026

This one was difficult to get through if you’re not into blues. That’s all I have to say on the matter. Every track, quite literally, sounded the same.

Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Feb 24 2026

Flourishes of really good musicianship … other than that, it just lacked substance. It was a bit … drab.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Feb 25 2026

I listened to this twice in the hopes that it wasn’t just me being overly negative about it, but it turns out, I was spot on, this is terrible, and god only knows how this is considered inside the top 1000 albums in the history of music !?

Low-Life by New Order
Feb 26 2026

Honestly. There’s not much I can say about this. It just didn’t hit me in any way shape or form. Just no.

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Feb 28 2026

Standard Bob Marley. A staple. Very good. Easy listening. Non-offensive. Mustn’t really grumble about the man Bob.
