1001 Albums Summary

cool album, feels like it either is the blueprint for rock music of that time or it followed the pre existing blueprint. it's quality music but i doubt i will come back to it that much, feels like "just rock music" 6/10

70% samey, 30% badly trying to be Bob Dylan. 5/10

i didn't really like the vocal inflections or whatever the constant up-down sound she was making is called that the singer kept doing, but that's a small nitpick. felt like listening to fallout / bioshock music, which is fine. 6/10

the vocals were quiet on the recording i've listened too, but that made me appreciate the production more, which has become my favorite part of the record. nice soul album from '72, not much more to say. 6.7/10

7.3 nice album, wouldn't listen again in its entirety but some songs are insane bops. interesting to learn that this may have started industrial rock

where is my mind has been in my awareness much earlier than this album so it felt weird hearing it here. as a whole its fine, '88 being the release year makes sense. still very rocky but alt enough for that time. 7

listened to this a while ago. liked some songs, but not everyone. the album feels GIANT. it is tremendous in its influence though, no denying that. it demands respect and does it deserve it hoo boy.
