man... this album just isn't for me but i see where it is for a ton of people and don't get it twisted...it is. obv panama is my jam but i told rachel this just sounds like shitty rush to me- which is not even a good representation of this. whatever one of the most popular 80s albums, sure. ill prob never listen to this album all the way through again - that song hot for teacher is weird and dumb
one of the greatest folk artists. unfortch for me folk isn't something i can relate too much. just feel like my dad was listening to this a million years ago. some of these songs are straight up slappers though. baby driver? let's f'in go. the anti v. war is good too. this is just the stuff that i am happy exists because it inspired a lot of stuff that i love, but as far as turning on myself; unlikely
some of these songs slapped like super stupid. actively disliked a few. this seems like less good jimi to me. probably reductive. overall i enjoyed but not listening again probably? 2/5
to my unlearned ears this sounds like proto bonnie rait. I liked this for the most part and i had never heard of it before. good stuff
really couldn't vibe with this. the organ, the vocals. this indy 2000s stuff just isnt for me. it's atmospheric and melancholic but i need some energy or i guess something more interesting for me personally. i could see and know ppl into this but i can't get past some of the fundamental elements of this soundscape 1/5
If i didn't listen to this many years ago I probably would have hated it as folk and country isn't my thing but damn i love this sound. songs like alabama and old man are so good. I learned the song a man needs a maid is kind of a joke song? its just not a good joke and it's kinda weird o well every record is entitled a stinker. he was in love with actress carrie snodgrass and ...well after they had 2 kids they separated. supposedly a lot of this record was about his love for her. you can now say that a heart of gold isn't very strong. look i got my own not good jokes 4/5
obv janis is insane but this (what seemed to be) live record wasn't my jam. a few parts but im not really recommending this to anyone even though for the time it was probably super sick! just not my style
nah - not even rachel could muster up something nice to say... 1/5
dang what are we talkin bout here? classic record from the most classic band. last song aged poorly but overall this is an easy recommend and its not even in my top 3 beatles record.
killer queen with a billion streams on spotify. what are we even talking about here. aint nothing i got to say that already hadnt been said. i asked rachel randomly desert island freddie or elton and obv this is never happening and not relevant but we both agreed elton, that just says more about EJ than it does queen. again, queen is just goated. this record i hadnt heard a ton before but this is metal - its important - its good - listen to it. 4/5
man this was just not for me kinda dug a few songs though 2/5 i barely made it to the back half
old country > new country. with that said, i can't really relate still. i can see where this is someones bag just not mine but its cool willie is a goat forsure
loved
