Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone
Feb 24 2026

Hmm, crackly sound on song 7? Nina Simone's voice, beats on last song

Feb 25 2026

Jazzy notes at beginning, notice drums on min 24, church chorus influence, mix of jazz and futuristic voice distortion, like voice gliding around.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Feb 27 2026

Insane, very influenced by blues. Meet Me In the Morning - sounds like Ramblin' On My Mind, but the Johnson version. Dylan is a master of storytelling (Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts) and I love that cynic tone of his voice.

1) Bullet the Blue Sky is incredible, edges of the song are distorted, guitar is frantic, wailing. Easily the highlight of the album. Contrasted with the beginning twangs of Running to Stand Still, it's shining. Latter song is whatever, good but not insane

you're so great & look inside america are honestly terrible, i'm not a very big fan of wailing on top of an aimless strumming. i'm just a killer for your love was nice. song 2 was great. otherwise, not really anything special. it felt like a typical indie-rock album, sort of a nothingburger. i feel like it doesn't have a real identity: some songs veer into pavement-sounds, shoegaze, britpop, even the beatles. it doesn't feel cohesive. some of the guitar sounds are cool, but i feel like they are not very interesting, they're not new and not very original.
