Very road trip and errand montage coded. Not bad by any means but nothing extraordinary. Easy-going, groovy when it wants to be, and easy on the ears.

absolutely electrifying and bombastic chune here. im not too deep in classic jazz, but i cant decide between this or bitches brew as my all time favorite. one can only properly experience this album as a soundtrack to their metropolitan transit journey. as a true city slicker, this album hits harder any fall onto concrete.

missy elliot, the fly on the wall
thats not to undersell her performance on this album. in true east coast fashion, she's popping her shit on nearly every song, but still allows some space for some vulnerability (best friends and friendly skies). being fly don't mean you can't feel after all. her writing is eclectic in its style, ranging from hardcore boss bitch raps to sensual slow jams, each song littered with funky vocal inflections and cheeky onomatopoeia. with all of these elements, missy's lyrics takes pieces from jazz, funk, and r&b and breads them together in a nice hip hop hoagie. instead of coming with heavy bars, missy instead keeps it cool and collected at all times, creating a laid-back atmosphere with her words, clever vocal layering, and timbo's crisp production. fly shit, aint nothing else to to it.
every so often i need a brutal reminder of just how lethal timbaland used to be on the beats. ahh how i mourn thee, look what AI has done.
this my first time ever listening to this album. incase you didn't figure it out, i love it already.

lightning on wax. it's electrifying, hyper, maniacal, but above all, beautiful.
this album was my introduction to iron maiden 2 years ago, and it still reigns as my favorite of their work. bruce dickson's voice sparkles in true heavy metal elegance, adding an extra extra layer of thrill to every single track. as for the riffs, they of are nothing short of highly addictive and audacious.
although it's titled "the number of the beast", this album sounds, dare i say, angelic in many ways. all throughout i felt a deep, intense feeling of empowerment. that i can face this world in all its wretchedness and come out on top every time, while also helping others to the same.
sidenote, s/o regular show for priming my taste for 80s rock. its too many tracks on here that would perfectly fit into its ost. im almost certain this album specifically had a lot of influence.
