1001 Albums Summary

Quite a few songs I didn't reconise which was unexpected. I've never been a huge fan of The Beatles though.

Some surprising sounds I can see why this stuff was groundbreaking in its time

Very inoffensive

Did not spark joy

had to turn it off after "Hey, little girl, is your daddy home? Did he go away and leave you all alone? I got a bad desire Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire"

Probably also not aged that well but some of the lyrics are surprisingly wholesome for the genre and era. I'd listen again

I never liked this album when I was younger but i'm a fan these days apparantly

The thing about these older albums is that they walked so later bands could run but it feels hard to give them the credit when there are probably 20 bands in the genre that i'd reach for before them.

That was fun and interesting. I'll probably add it to the rotation but its not gonna become a new favourite.

Fine/cool for background listening but too many tracks that I ended up skipping 5 mins in cos I didn't feel like listening to another few mins of the same thing so not quite cool enough for a 4. I guess if i was really high i might change my mind

I had forgotten i listened to this on friday which kinda says a lot. I did enjoy it at the time but not gonna win any awards from me.

Wasnt sold at first but it grew on me.
