1001 Albums Summary

Usually takes me a while to warm up to new albums, but a lot of these songs were instant hits for me. I like the acoustics. Going to revisit some of the songs.

I went into this somewhat biased against The Kinks. Last time I really listened to them was in 2020. Not vibing with the first few songs but then it clicked. Really liked this actually. Surprising.

I haven't explored blues much as a genre, but from what I've heard listening to this album and Gary Moore, I'm pretty partial to it and need to explore it more. Key To The Highway is insanely good.

I was listening to this with headphones on in the car and didn't like it very much, but I think the background highway noise was ruining the music because I listened to it without headphones later in my room and it was quite good.

Some of the greatest jazz of all time. One of the densest, cleanest albums ever.

I didn't expect this to be so good. Sounds like a mixture of some of my favorite artists: Phoebe Bridgers, Car Seat Headrest, Elliott Smith, Stevie Nicks...

It was good but I just wasn't super into it. Some songs just kind of annoyed me. There are some songs that you hear all the time in the supermarket and stuff like Material Girl and Girls Just Want to Have Fun and I've kind of always been annoyed by them.

At first I hated it. Random screaming... Kind of hip-hoppy at times. Then I somehow started to like it. I'm also sick right now (and same for the Cindy Lauper album) so maybe I'm not as receptive to new music now HA! Edit: really grew on me by the end. 2 tracks were removed from spotify..

This has been my favorite album from The Smiths since I started listening to them in 2021. Maybe I should start listening to The Smiths more again.

Here's one I already knew a lot of songs from. Glad I listened to the whole thing now. Generally I think Everything But the Girl is really underrated, so I was surprised to see one of their albums on here
