1001 Albums Summary

i really loved this album and i sort of knew i would going into it from only hearing some of oasis’s stuff. anyway i really liked “roll with it” and it immediately stood out to me because it gave me a similar feeling to jimmy eat world- the middle, which is obviously awesome and gave me the feeling like ok yeah everything’s going to be fine especially me being a teen this was a fun song. Another one that stood out was “don’t look back in anger” for obvious reasons and it deserves its popularity. last ones ill mention are “some might say” and “champagne supernova” just liked the feeling it brought me :))) i loved this album and love oasis.

Initially i was thinking that i would have to be in a certain kind of mood to enjoy this music based off track 1 which isn’t a bad thing i was just so caught off guard. i actually really prefer the slower tracks on this album i think his voice suits that kind of mood better than the fast songs. I liked ‘i still miss someone’ i though that ‘cocaine blues’ was so odd lol the lyrics were crazy although ill give it to him he’s a great storyteller and performer i can tell the way he interacts with the audience and changes his voice to match the lyrics. I liked ‘send a picture of mother’. ‘the wall’ the entire theme of this album i find so cool although this genre of music i wouldn’t gravitate towards im glad i listened to it. wasn’t completely perfect to me but also not complete torture.

i think frank ocean is popular for good reason because he really is great. ones that stood out to me were Sierra Leone, pilot Jones, crack rock, monks, and pink matter. i absolutely adore pyramids i think it’s so great and frank ocean has this superpower of making long songs and making it so engaging all throughout and you’re never bored which is rare for me at least. also super rich kids always makes me think of gossip girl lol. all round super cool album; i love playing frank ocean in summer.

ive never heard of arcade fire till now but im impressed. again id have to be in a certain mood but i listened to this album whilst drawing and the ones that made me pause and be like wow were : ready to start, rococo, half light |, month of may and sprawl || (mountains beyond mountains) tie for my ultimate favourite on this album !!!!!

you’re gonna miss me’ is so cool and definitely worth their #1 track. also the album cover and the name of the album is literally so awesome so needed to mention that. other fav tracks of mine: fire engine, through the rhythm, reverberation (doubt), kingdom of heaven i also want to mention that every song grabs at your attention from the jump and stays so consistent throughout the rest. impressed.
