1001 Albums Summary

First ever Stevie Wonder Album Surprised by the sound - was expecting Motown but hearing almost elements of folk or rock in amongst it which I love! The track Visions is great! Living for the City added to playlist! Higher Ground is a banger of a track, so surprised this is Stevie Wonder, I’d never have guessed it! Don’t you worry bout a thing is the only song I recognised. Funk, rock, soul all laid into one record! But each track gels so well with the next! What a voice he has! 100% a record I’ll revisit! Great first album of this list for me! Very uplifting!

As a huge music lover, The Rolling Stones are a band I’ve never delved into. But this record is great from start to finish and right up my street. Gimme Shelter is a great opener! I hear how they influenced so many other bands and artists. Love the country rock feel to this album! Live with me is a great track, the sax in it is brilliant! Stand out tracks are Country Honk, Let it Bleed and You Can’t Always Get What You Want! A feel good upbeat album that has you foot tapping the whole way through with some amazing guitar playing.

A great feel good record with lots of very familiar songs. A very nostalgic record. Great voice. But for myself not a record I’d revisit again likely very often.

Always been a fan of Queens Greatest Hits so this is my first full album! Pretty forgetful record with nothing really standing out to make me want to listen again!
