I’ve seen this hailed as one of the greatest albums of all time. It’s not great in my honest opinion - but there is an appeal if you like a bit of avant-garde in the 2000s. It’s a 2 out of 5 from me.
The sound of 1997. Beautifully produced and is the best in its genre. A top 3 out of 5 from me.
Classic Maiden - if you’re late to the NWOBHM this is a great entry. Bruce’s first with the band. Solid 4 out of 5 from me

One of my favourite 60s albums. Break on Through - Light my Fire - The End. Great edgy production. Note to Alabama Song - although I prefer Bowie’s rendition. Goes west lyrically on occasion - but no denying the genius of Morrison
This album is not just about the epic Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone … it’s high energy funk at its finest
Wonderful album by Barry Adamson. A fictional movie score - 1950s film noir and electronic landscapes, reminding me of side b of Bowie’s Low and “Heroes”
A shift in style from previous Pixies albums with a more polished finish. Album includes hit single Velouria
Some nice string arrangements and harmonies. Will I listen to this album again? Maybe, possibly, probably!
