1001 Albums Summary

The first half of the album is really strong, but then the style shifts and I'm not too keen on the latter half of the album. But "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" is my favorite Elton John song, so bonus for that.

Pretty interesting, actually. I didn't listen to her when she was active, so this came as a bit of a surprise. I really like the 60s girl band vibe, and I think the rough edge she puts on it really makes this work.

Classic Prince by The Funky One.

Low-key album with a different vibe than other late 60s efforts. Feels a little bit like 1960s shoegaze.

Not bad for what it is, but the Sweet Dreams track is so different that it makes it hard to assess the full album. Honestly, I'm starting to suspect that having a hit song on an album is what qualifies the album for this list...

I don't think this aged very well.

Really fun listening to Billy Joel from this era.
