Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Mar 23 2026

Important album in its era and has remained a touchstone for many folky singer songwriters. It has never really done it for me personally. Feel it’s a little one paced throughout and once you’ve heard one track you’ve heard the album. Lots of people have done what he did but better- John Martyn for one!

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Mar 24 2026

I like the Stones but haven’t listened to this in many years. What struck me was the level of cultural appropriation - black blues music rehashed by white guys. Others also did the same. I do believe that the Stones made better albums and that their best work is less derivative!
