Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Mar 23 2026

Standouts: Parallel Universe, Otherside, Raod Trippin, Fat Dance Lowlights: Porcelian - just too weird Already knew Scar Tissue and Californication, knew chorus of Otherside Slow songs weren’t as strong, amazing guitar, same vibe throughout album

Rio by Duran Duran
Mar 24 2026

most 80s album ever in the best way possible. songs mostly blended together on first listen so I will have the album on shuffle to pick out each song. Standout: Rio, Hold Back the Rain, Save a Prayer never heard of the album or artist but such a strong album. everything fits perfectly and the short length prevents getting burned out. bass hits like crack throughout. was everything just cooler in the 80s?

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Mar 25 2026

don’t know why i’m listening to an album from the 50s but here i am. honestly im suprised how fun it is. stopped at basin street blues

Blur if Damon’s voice was lowkey annoying. lots of mentions of communist. lyrics too crazy at some points but still fun and i can’t imagine people listening to this in the 70s. clearly inspired blur, oasis, and just britpop in general, but more heavy metal then what britpop ended up becoming. I don’t think i will ever revisit this album any time soon, but it’s cool to see such a breakthrough in musical and the beginning of punk, just a little too extreme for me. the instruments are amazing, just the lyrics hold it back.

25 by Adele
Mar 27 2026

did not expect to know about half of this album already. I was not looking forward to listen to it, and i don’t think i will revisit, but definitely a great album to listen to. Too ballady for me, and it feels more directed towards older audiences, but Adele’s voice and songwriting really is amazing. I’d say All I Ask was my favorite. Definitely understand better why she is so popular. I’m pretty sure this is the divorce or breakup album, so I really wish she gave more for someone with such great vocals and writing. Every song i’ve heard from her sounded the same and has the same vibe, and i expected like other artist for the album deep cuts to bring in something new, but i found the same middle-aged mom vibe throughout. I hope she innovates more and takes more risk with 30, if I ever get around to listening to it.

My Generation by The Who

This must have been very rebellious back then.
