Machine Head by Deep Purple

10/10 So far, this is the only album that I went back and relistened to right after I finished it the first time. Fast, energetic, and just pure raw hard rock. Great all around. Favorite Tracks: Highway Star, Pictures of Home, Smoke on the Water, Lazy, Space Truckin' Least Favorite Track: Never Before

In Rainbows by Radiohead

9/10. I think I finally understand the hype around Radiohead. I always just kinda overlooked them as being music for the most pretentious music elitists possible. However, this album is phenomenal. I think it was when the guitar came in on 15 Step where I completely ascended and didn't come down until the album ended. Honestly, the only thing keeping this from being a 10/10 is Thom Yorke's voice. It always sounds like he's doing his best crying baby impression, and it's still my biggest problem with Radiohead. Pros: Incredible interplay with the music, and all of the songs are so incredibly atmospheric that it feels like you're in space for the whole album. Cons: Thom Yorke's voice. Especially on Videotape. Favorite Tracks: 15 Step, Nude, All I Need, Faust Arp, Reckoner, House of Cards Least Favorite Track: Bodysnatchers Would listen again? Yes.

The Cars by The Cars

7/10 The bridge from 70s music to 80s music. A very fun album with some awesome anthemic pop-rock bangers. However, it does get a little repetitive at times. Favorite tracks: My Best Friend's Girl, Just What I Needed, Don't Cha Stop Least Favorite Track: I'm In Touch With Your World

Diamond Life by Sade

8/10 In my honest opinion, music peaked with Japanese city pop. I feel that this is the closest we will come to that in the U.S. Awesome, jazzy, great hooks, very easy to listen to. Favorite tracks: Smooth Operator, Hang On to Your Love, When Will I Make a Living, Cherry Pie Least Favorite track: I Will Be Your Friend

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar

7/10 Production is fantastic, but the lyrics are kind of a letdown from Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. If it was only rated on production though, 11/10.
