1001 Albums Summary

I used to listen to this album in college. Arctic Monkeys and We Are Scientists are quintessential alt rock bands of that time. Arctic Monkeys remind me of my old roommate, Matt Stromberg. Fitting in that time of my life, it's general theme as an album is being a scummy young brit, mostly drinking. "I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor" and "Mardy Bum" are bops that we danced to a countless amount of times.

I like the Stooges, I don't find my substance in them though. I can admire it for it's foundation on punk and the general sound of rock at the time. Raw Power is the perfect name, because that's really all it is: driving rhythm and lyrics that are pure rock for rock's sake.

Super chill album. Great background music. Can't really remember anything from it after listening to it.

Incredible vocalist, as everyone knows. Skilled piano player and interesting songs.

This sure sounded like the 90s.

Honestly, every song is a banger.

Solid but didn't blow me away

It's a shame that Morrissey ended up being such a POS because this is a pretty good album about isolation and antiestablishment. It kind of makes sense though, he seems to have a lot of self loathing and that tends to be a common theme with bigots.
