In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Mar 25 2026

This is my first album with this one. I didn't expect to be treated with experimental jazz right away, but it's fun! These long songs felt like I was swaying with them. I like how present I felt even with the lack of lyrics. Though I feel some music has a time and place to be enjoyed, atleast for me. This one, I wanted to recline and swirl a glass of wine. But I was at work getting interrupted with distractions. A welcome change. Here are my notes: - wow, these long ass songs - i feel like it's swaying with me - i can feel the breath through the instrument. i dont wanna put a name to it, it makes me feel so present - i like the lack of lyrics. i like being able to sit with this - in a silent way and it's the most music has spoken to me in a while (i also say these things because they're fun to say, they may be half-truths) - this qualifies as an album???? - it's picked up pace and carried me along - i have an imagined glass of wine that im swirling while swaying - okay, i might get a little tired of it - maybe this isn't the right manner of listening: sitting down and getting distracted by calls / messages at work - ? might be causing audio fatigue that way - in a silent way is making me mournful. - how do you review music? - it feels like a sound from just below an ocean's depth - the art is a green hue. this song is blue. - it's picked up now - do they freestyle this? or write it down? or just go with the room? is there an audience? or just a man doing his thing? - reminds me of that excerpt. of that man who thought jazz wasn't anything special, till someone played it in front of him for 16 minutes straight without opening their eyes - from that day he started loving it. - fun! i'll have to build some kind of patience for it though - it's lulling me along -

My Generation by The Who
Mar 26 2026

The kind of songs I’d sing 4 pegs down at a common friend’s party karaoke all dedicated to my beautiful wife whose embarrassed yet feeling loved Besides all the heartbreak songs of course Those are nice to hear in the bittersweet post breakup phases, when you recognise how good something you had to let go of was I quite like how their voice sounds The music may take some getting used to. But in the end, good music, not that deep, and fun
