1001 Albums Summary

I understand the situation this album was made in. But my word, bleak would be more enjoyable. This is nothing. Its just not good. Considering the personel on the record you would expect so much more.

I have no idea where each song ends and the next bgins at times. WHat i do know is that it feels so much newer than it was. It lacks any kind of a profound message or sentiment but what it does deliver is a feeling that i can't quite put a name to. It was a surprise to me.

I have always been very much against the Beatles, found the whole thing a little overrated. This i suppose always extended to the indvidual projects. Thus i had always avoided this album. I really enjoyed the album though. Feels a lot closer instyle and feel to Pink Floyd than a Beatles record and that was something i can get behind.

Absolutly loved this album, was a brilliant and well produced debut. Stunning at times, whilst the quality never dips.

Beautifully whimsical at times whilst being lyrically intricate and punchy. Playful without being silly, vocally clever with varied arrangments. Its just a really well put together record.

Dreamy pop scapes that unfurl upon each other with lush production. An absolute delight to listen to.
