Pearl by Janis Joplin
Mar 31 2026

Don't know if I have anything insightful to say. I'm pretty sure I've heard multiple of these songs in commercials and movies, which might be colouring my thoughts on them. These feel like something my dad might have in his cassette tape collection. Nostalgic in the way I tend to find any 70-80s song nostalgic; old, but not so old as to feel completely unfamiliar. Nice to have on in the background. Love the 'That's it' followed by laughter at the end of "Mercedes Benz". Glad people have been doing that with their songs for many a decade. Favourites: 1. Half Moon 2. Buried Alive In The Blues 3. Mercedes Benz

In Rainbows by Radiohead
Apr 01 2026

I like this one.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Apr 02 2026

It's Michael Jackson. What am I supposed to say? There were quite a few songs I hadn't heard before in this, but I think the reason why you don't hear them as often is because they aren't as good, sadly (With the exception of 'Leave me Alone.' I liked that one, but I had never heard it before). The bass on a couple of these makes me think of the Sega Genesis. Favourites: Smooth Criminal, Leave Me Alone

Young Americans by David Bowie
Apr 03 2026

I don't have much to say about this one. Favourites: Fascination (it just maybe lasts just a tad longer than it needs to?), Fame.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Apr 04 2026

I like this one, I just don't have much to say except that I thought including the kid in 'After School Special' was cute. Favourites: If You Only Knew, Break.

Apr 05 2026

Didn't know how to feel about it at first, as I don't normally listen to TV/movie soundtracks. None of the music in this was bad or anything, but typing this a day later, I can only remember the ending song because of the story.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Apr 07 2026

I could revisit this one, but I'd have to be in a very particular mood. Could be an issue with the recording, but the harmonica could be grating on the ears sometimes.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Apr 08 2026

My first DNF. There were a few songs that were alright, but honestly, I think I wanted to like them more than I actually did. The style of vocals is really not my thing, either.
