Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Apr 06 2026

This is an awesome album… BB King is one of the greats. Live at Cook County is another great live album by him!!!

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Apr 07 2026

I consider this album one of the greatest in my lifetime. Hendrix was totally unique in his instrument, moving the electric blues pioneered by early urban greats like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, etc., to new heights. Great album with the greatest musicians sitting in… especially love Winwood on keys… The lyrics very acid driven, and a great Dylan cover of All Along the Watchtower. A shame he passed so soon.

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground
Apr 08 2026

I do love this album but not the best musically. Lou Reed was a pioneer of pain… His lyrics spoke to an emerging community. Candy says… a must know song!

Apr 09 2026

I love Ray Charles. I love his original jazz & blues and his 70s stuff, in particular his version of Abraham, Martin & John… I know this album was groundbreaking for its time. Big production, great songs, just not my favorite Ray Charles album. I suggest any of the original Atlantic albums before this one. Ray Charles, Yes Indeed!, Genius After Hours, Genius Sings the Blues… or if you prefer jazz try the Atlantic albums Soul Meeting or Soul Brothers with Milt Jackson! TJ is album was historical, just not my favorite!

Play by Moby
Apr 10 2026

I wasn’t expecting much from this album. Boy was I surprised- pleasantly. Looks like he was at the forefront with G.Live, Citizen Cope, Cake. Really enjoyed the album & got a copy of the complete album version!!

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Apr 13 2026

I love the talking heads!!! Life during wartime is brilliant & I Zumba is a must listen. This album really marked a major growth spurt for this band out of punk-ish sound to the more sophisticated sound that became their trademark!!!

Fugues not for me. Recognize the talent but not a fan. I do like Lauren Hill quite a bit - “miseducation” album…

Mama's Gun by Erykah Badu
Apr 15 2026

This album surprised me. Great voice, interesting tone. Somewhere between jazz & hip hop with a hint of trip hop & traditional jazz. Has been added to my personal play list!!

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Apr 16 2026

This is a classic!!! The start of the electric Miles!!! Three of the greatest ever on keys - Hancock, Corea, and Zawinal!!! Tony Williams in drums, McLaughlin on guitar, Shorter on sax!!! Wow, every note from everyone is pure gold!!

Hearts And Bones by Paul Simon
Apr 17 2026

Not a big Paul Simon fan, this album ok…

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Apr 20 2026

One of the best albums ever!! Have lived this album since 1969. For the time, nothing came close to the recording quality. Musicianship unreal!!! Songwriting excellent!!! Beefhart great vocal on classic Willie the Pimp!!!!

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Apr 27 2026

One of the best albums ever… Like a Rolling Stone!!! WOO HOO

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Apr 28 2026

Another great album… Love Sly Stand! A true classic

With The Beatles by Beatles
May 05 2026

Another great album… Love Sly Stand! A true classic

Sea Change by Beck
May 11 2026

Really good album. Enjoyable. More consistent than earlier albums but no songs that get your attention…, like loser.

Hotel California by Eagles
May 25 2026

Ok be of their best albums. Great band then adding Joe Walsh!!! Yes….

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
May 27 2026

Mediocre in my opinion. For this style I prefer DJ Shadow!!!

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
May 28 2026

Very smart album commented back to Stines’ Exile in Mainstreet album…
