2. Drown in My Own Tears - неплохая, про одиночество , слезы и просьбу вернуться домой.
3. I Never Loved a Man - про больную привязанность.
Альбом прикольный , песни в основном про то, что уважение важнее страсти. в целом альбом про самоуважение, за что респект.
3 of the most normal ones:
1. Smack My Bitch Up - The most provocative track on the album. The title caused controversy (accusations of misogyny), although Liam Howlett claimed that he meant "kick her ass" in a figurative sense.
2. Diesel Power - because it has more hip-hop and less electro.
3. Narayan - the longest (9 min) , the first half is fine, such Indian motifs xsshhaha and a meditative mantra, then again a heavy electro beat.
Result: I read that the band itself made a statement that synthesizers and samplers can sound as dirty, aggressive and dangerous as electric guitars. not my genre, it's hard to listen to electronics, like a robot shouts, but when there was a rap, an interesting instrumental and vocals - then fine
3 songs I liked the most:
Dance the Night Away - "a light, melodic song with elements of pop and folk, encouraging you to dance the night away." Cool, I like it.
We're Going Wrong - "a very dark and intense ballad. The song conveys a sense of impending disaster and relationship discord." It's very powerful, and I really like it.
Take It Back - "an optimistic and rhythmic rock and roll song." The song also features Jack Bruce's harmonica playing, which makes you want to dance. The harmonica playing was very fun.
Overall, the album is very cool, and I would give it a 4 out of 5.
Band: The Allman Brothers Band
album summary: purely instrumental, very little vocals, tracks ranging from 5 minutes to 19 minutes. My favorite track is:
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed
"A 13-minute jazz-rock instrumental written by guitarist Dicky Betts. Complex chords, melancholic melody, and long solos. A masterpiece of the band." - I was stuck on it for 13 minutes while it was playing, and the instrumental was really cool.
Neil Young's album "Tonight's The Night"
I liked 2 songs:
Albuquerque
"A slow, hypnotic country ballad. One of the most beautiful and melancholic songs on the album." I really enjoyed it and added it to my playlist.
Tired Eyes
"A key track on the album. The story of a guy who was shot in Los Angeles. The climax of the album, where the pain and cynicism reach their peak."
The album's conclusion: the weather is gloomy, and it fits in with the mood.
The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
liked song:
Ex-Factor
- "Sharp lyrics about painful and confusing love relationships full of uncertainty."
Result: cool album and as a genre (hip-hop, soul and R&B.) , vibe like I'm watching an American movie, but not about teenagers , but about adults who skate and talk about this life. Lauryn Hill is an American singer, rapper and actress. In 1999, the album earned Lauryn Hill five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
You Are the Quarry (Morrissey)
songs I liked:
Let Me Kiss You
'A vulnerable ballad about a desperate plea for love and acceptance, despite its apparent rudeness"
All the Lazy Dykes
"A contemplative song where the author encourages his friends (a lesbian couple) to leave their quiet, boring world and explore life" - added to my favorites.
Summary:
I really enjoyed the album, and this genre is a balm for my soul. In the album, he criticizes America and the hypocrisy of politicians. He also sings about the search for love.
Wilco — Being There (1996)
Favorite songs:
Misunderstood (6:27)
"A powerful opening with a guitar wall of sound and the repeated mantra "I wish I were misunderstood." A track about the frustration and weariness of rock stardom."
Sunken Treasure (6:51)
"One of the most epic and avant-garde tracks. It starts with a quiet fingerstyle, building into a noise collage. If you like Radiohead or Pixies, that's your choice. "
Bottom line:
country rock isn't my thing, but there were some songs with viola, which was cool.
Ingénue — K.D. lang
favorite songs:
Save Me (4:33)
"is the opening track with a meditative mood and tambourine playing. The lyrics are based around a plea for salvation through love."
Season of Hollow Soul (4:58)
"Is a melancholic and mysterious song about finding meaning in moments of spiritual emptiness and loneliness."
