I had written a whole review on each song, and IT DID NOT SAVE SINCE MY TABS CLOSED for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON,
but i will try to recap the songs i remember:
Born in the USA : gosh i am in awe and in fear of the state of Bruce Springsteen's vocal cords after hearing this masterpiece. Awesome song though. I hope his vocal cords are okay.
Darlington County (and Glory Days): Reminds me of the road trip my dad, brother and I made when we moved to Texas and we passed through Ohio, Kentucky, Oklahoma, ect... but make it 80s!! Also reminds me of the last night and the day of before we moved and a few friends came by to help clean and load things in the car in a hurry.
No Surrender is the ultimate training montage song man, its fire!
Going down: 'I'm going down, down, down...' pretty catchy! i feel like I've heard the tune before. Maybe in another song?
Bobby Jean: As a person who grew up moving a lot, this song relates to me a TON, whether in the romantic context or not.
Dancing in the dark: This and Made to Run are the only Bruce Springsteen songs I knew beforehand! I LOVE this song, especially for running or getting ready.
My Hometown: Feels like the happy, calm parts of a movie where no one is really doing anything, just basking in the sun on a lazy summer day, or the sunset on one's face.
I already knew Proud Mary beforehand, but the songs sound really cool! Very similar to each other with the rock vibes, but still really good listen, especially for a lock in study session.
Very experimental, uses sounds and beats i've never really been used to hear :)
First few songs are pretty cool, love the what the heck is Mother even about haha. It sounds crazy and like a glimpse inside the mind of a crazy madman.
King of Pain had cool vibes but its so sad :(
I obviously know Every Breath You take, an iconic yet haunting for me growing up. I did not know Synchronicity were 2 songs/parts. Cool :)
As i get into the album, it sounds more and more 80s like, which is super awesome! Wrapped around your finger reminds me of Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac, in a way.
The writing was cool, and the imagery and other literary devices/form of speech in the songs, and the music is pretty unique compared to today's cookie cutter pop songs.
Never listened to Metallica song really, except that on song that got on Stranger things back in 2021 or something.
Ok starting off strong with Enter Sandman, very intense lyrics, contrasting fear and childhood references. Tune's pretty cool though. I feel like I would hear this at one of those edgy stores at the mall thats all black and with really bad lighting, but good superhero merch and jewlery.
WHOA MAMA THE GUITAR RIFFS THEY ARE INSANE WHAT
my average acoustic guitar playing could not :')
Holier than Thou is giving Thalia Grace vibes. I feel like i've Through the never before.
It was so funny listening to the intense Metallica songs and then getting inturrupted by a calm turf installment ad.
Is nothing else matters the calmest song on this album? Maybe. Good sound.
Of Wolf and Man is pretty cool, especially the guitar solos.
I was feeling pretty happy today, so Metallica didn't really fit the vibe for my day, even if i do like a good metal rock song. But the guitar was CRAZZYYYY. it was awesome.
Well dang the first song was a lot to take in
i just came from listening dire straits, so it was a very big contrast lol
love the vibes of when you sleep!!!
