Maybe its just this album is too basic for me? I can understand many of the arrangements, styles and whatnot that were used in this album could have been new, innovative or niche by their standards. But listening to it on 2026 after a lifetime of albums where artists try to one-up each other with new techniques, new vocals, new samples, new everything... This just does not hit the mark for me. There are some solos and powerful political messages I really liked in one or two songs, but that's it.

Not my favorite music genre. But, for being one of the original pillars for the genre and still being nice enough to the ears is an accomplishment. Energetic, not too distorted. Vocals do sound a little muzzled/low within the full sound/vibe for what, I would presume, should be a "vocals first" sound.

Love me some drums, some clean bass and vocals. Maybe missing a little more synthesizer, a little more electronics, for my tastes. 4.9/5 tho.
