1001 Albums Summary

Favorite songs are probably I'm only sleeping or perhaps and your bird can sing. Dunno what else to say about this album, its fantastic.

Don't get me wrong, the title track is definitely one of his best, and while it is produced well, the religious imagery and ethereal nature of the following songs are not for me.

I quite like it, I think that Cecelia is the obvious winner here because it's so happy, having said that, the boxer is also phenomenal, and hell, the title track alone.

I love Louis Prima, he reminds me of my grandfather, he was one of his favourites. It's been the soundtrack of many a great game as well, having said that, my favourites of his aren't on this album, and really any song of his sounds the same as the last!

I mean it is what it is, but it's not for me.

I'm reminded of videogame soundtracks such as jet set radio, it's got an old exploitation film feel to it, 70s, despite the fact it was made in the 90s. Not an album I would have thought to listen to but definitely one I have saved after finding it!
