Rubber Soul by Beatles
May 07 2026

Off to a pretty good start! I wasn't familiar with most of this album but I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely dropped in quality a bit in the middle but the rest of the album is strong enough to carry it.

OK Computer by Radiohead
May 08 2026

Incredible from start to finish. I was familiar with a chunk of the album already but some new standouts to me were Airbag and Lucky. The only slight criticism I could have is that sometimes it was a little hard to understand the lyrics, but considering the shite Thommy is spouting these days that might be for the best.

Station To Station by David Bowie
May 09 2026

Pretty disappointing. The title track and Stay were highlights (by comparison) but the rest of the album was pretty poor, and I despised TVC15. Not one I'm likely to return to.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
May 09 2026

Struggled to finish this one. I don't particularly like dad rock and this is bad dad rock. No saving grace here, even Smoke on the Water kind of sucks beyond the iconic opening riff.

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
May 10 2026

Incredibly boring. Saved from a 1 because at least it wasn't offensively bad.

The Cars by The Cars
May 11 2026

Whole album sounds like a bit Fred Armisen would have done on SNL/Documentary Now. There's some nice riffs but the songs are too silly to take seriously. Just What I Needed is definitely the highlight, which is worrying since I'm not exactly rushing to put it in any playlists.
