...And Justice For All by Metallica
May 09 2026

All killer, no filler. No bass either but there we are. This album holds a special place in my heart. I attribute my hearing loss to repeated listenings of One at full volume in my youth. 10/10, no regrets. Blackened is also a bonafide Rock Band classic.

Songs For Swingin' Lovers! by Frank Sinatra
May 10 2026

No denying he's got a great voice but, to my mind, this is just good background music.

May 12 2026

What a set of pipes. Really lovely soul vibes with great playing playing throughout. I expected this to be "Respect and other songs" but every track slapped. Might have to pick this up on vinyl

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
May 13 2026

No denying this album is a cornerstone of US alt rock. I love the guitar tone and wall of noise on the louder tracks (cherub rock, geek USA) but some of the quieter tracks drag a bit for me.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
May 14 2026

Nice enough funk and most tracks have a good message. I just couldn't see myself ever coming back to this though.

White Ladder by David Gray
May 15 2026

I mean realistically it shouldn't get more than a 2 but some of these tracks are so nostalgic and hold a lot of sentimental value.

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
May 16 2026

Never listened to this album before. The hits really do hit but man, there's some gross tracks on here. I've got a better appreciation for Duffs bass playing now though!

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
May 17 2026

Enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would! I'm certainly not one to shy away from microtonal experimental noodling though. Had that jazz vibe where it always comes back to a familiar theme after some improvisation.
